Library News

We have purchased some new books and a DVD for the Richmond Group's library. Remember, you must be a financial member of the support group to be able to borrow items from the library.

All Cats Have Aspergers – Kathy Hoopman (Jessica Kingsley Publishers)

Pictorial book with some simple one or two line explanation of traits of people blessed with Aspergers. The pictures of cats are apt to the descriptions, this book could be used as a good scaffold for discussion of the traits of Aspergers, to children and adults who have an “aspy” in their lives. – Anthony Williams

Finding Out About Asperger Syndrome, High Functioning Austism And PDD. – Gunilla Gerland

Another good book for explaining the why’s of behaviours that manifest in people on the spectrum. Easy to read I managed it in 10 – 15 minutes. Could be carried by the ASD person and offered to friends or people who want to understand something about ASD. . – Anthony Williams.
